Acceptable Use Policy

This policy sets out what you agree not to do with SlimeStream. It exists in tension with our zero-knowledge design on purpose: we cannot inspect your video content, so enforcement here relies on reports (see our DMCA Policy) rather than proactive scanning — but that doesn't make the underlying rules optional.

1. You agree not to use the Service to

• Store or distribute content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
• Store or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in any form. This is reported to [PLACEHOLDER: NCMEC or applicable authority] as required by law, is the one category of content this policy treats as non-negotiable regardless of the zero-knowledge design, and results in immediate account termination.
• Store or distribute content that is unlawful in the jurisdiction(s) where you or your viewers are located.
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or endanger a specific individual.
• Attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or access controls, or to gain unauthorized access to another user's account or content.
• Use the remote-upload or API features to attack, scan, or abuse third-party systems (including via SSRF).
• Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.

2. Reporting content

Because we cannot see the content you or others store, we rely on reports from copyright holders and the public. Anyone can report a video via the "Report" link on its share page. Copyright-specific claims follow the process in our DMCA Policy; other Acceptable Use violations can be reported to [PLACEHOLDER: abuse contact email].

3. Enforcement

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination, at our discretion and without refund for prepaid periods where permitted by law. We cooperate with law enforcement requests as required by applicable law.

4. Changes to this policy
